The Cooper Kit, simply put, is awesome. It is full of games and activities focused around a particular theme that engages and educates, and carries the promise of quality time with your kids. And best of all, batteries are not required! This is just good old fashioned, high quality fun that will occupy a child or a group of children for hours.
I received the “How Things Fly” kit, and when it arrived, I felt like a kid as I dug through the box and checked out the contents, which included a Chinese sky lantern (super, super cool), a build-your-own biplane (which cleverly cuts out from the box!), a parachute man, and a catapult! Most of the items are a bit mature for my 22 month old daughter, so I brought the kit to our family camp recently and let my two nieces (who are 6 and 9) play with it, and it was a HUGE hit. I went from an uncle to the coolest uncle on the planet in an instant. And I can see why. There is way more fun packed into the Cooper Kit than your average uncle can muster on his own.
I really am impressed at the broad range of well thought out activities included in this kit. There’s even a booklet called “The Secrets to How Things Fly” which explains the mechanics behind the different flying things that are included, which turns out to be a very comprehensive lesson in Aerodynamics. And when the day has come to an end, there’s even a hilarious bed time story starring a fly, which by the way, my daughter loves.
Take it to camp, give it as a gift, save it for a rainy day. Although it is geared towards dads, the Cooper Kit will elevate moms, aunts/uncles, big brothers/sisters to a very high level of awesome.
