We’ve been using a bulky swim diaper underneath our kid’s bathing suit for a while now in an effort to be eco-friendly and fair to those we share a pool with. It’s bulky, sticks out of our daughter’s bathing suit and there is something kind of gross about wringing it out after she’s taken it off.
Pros:
– Quite absorbent, given how thin & lightweight it is. Not bulky.
– Soft and easy to put on.
– Bathing suit with built-in swim nappy is very convenient. I only had to get my kid’s attention once as I wrestled her into her bathing suit.
– Daughter feels like a “big girl” as she went into the pool “diaper-less.” She was psyched to wear it.
– Swim nappy itself is easy to wear and thin enough to wear comfortably under other bathing suits.
– According to my wife, cute patterns.
– Eco-friendly
– Easy to take off
Cons:
– To be honest, I can’t think of any cons to the Swim Nappy. Given the alternatives – bulky reusable swim diaper or disposable swim diapers – I’d pick the Swim Nappy any day.
– Oh, here’s one. I had to convince my daughter’s swim coach that she did, indeed, have a swim diaper on. It’s that thin.
