Shamelessly manipulative and guaranteed to make everyone but the most jaded cry, this is a video montage of Iraq soldier homecomings. The most touching are the expressions of the little kids who are seeing their dads, and in some cases moms, for the first time in a long while.
I’d recommend watching because we should all be forced to have daily exposure to what these wars are costing really men, women, and families.
The video takes no political stance, but it’s probably not an accident that the first little girl we see is wearing a t-shirt with a big Peace sign when she gets a surprise classroom visit.
By the way, the name of the song is “Praan” by Garry Schyman’s and sung by Palbasha Siddique. It was also used on the hit video, “Where the Hell is Matt 2008” by Matt Harding, which had over 30 million views.

The Military Father, which was just released by Abbeville Press.
