TV football pundit John Barnes stunned viewers yesterday by announcing his wife had given birth – but stayed for the final whistle.
The ex-Liverpool and England ace announced live to fans that his wife had given birth during the first half of the match between former team Liverpool and Chelsea.
Barnes spent five minutes in the studio giving postmatch analysis before eventually leaving to see his wife and new baby boy.
