According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, unless your spouse’s doctor tells you otherwise, sexual intercourse is safe throughout the pregnancy. It has been noticed that for many women, pregnancy increases their sex drive. For others, it often has the opposite effect. If she has problems during her pregnancy or has had miscarriages in the past, your doctor may suggest your partner avoid sexual intercourse.
