Some fathers have already figured out the secret to a lifetime of healthy eating: Start them young. It is better stay away from processed foods as much as possible and nurture children’s appreciation for fresh, healthy foods.
Here is bunch of super fast, healthy recipes:
- Brown rice cakes topped with natural peanut butter and low-sugar jelly
- Mashed avocado mixed with salsa and served with tortilla chips
- Smoothies: yogurt, banana, milk and frozen fruit (blueberries, strawberries, mango, etc.) pureed in a blender until smooth
Here’s another recommended snack. Its supposed to be one of the children’s favorite:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 smashed banana
2 tablespoons powdered milk
Mix together until smooth. Serve with graham cracker sticks.
